Could it be possible that the attitude and way we tackle exercise is how we tackle all tasks?
I noticed this similarity the other day after reading an article on hand writing analysis. Then I read some Nietzsche which claimed that the way to discover the self is through the things we do rather than looking for a straight path to the self where we may perhaps do damage which no doctor can cure.

A dollar for your thoughts.
Today I came across my first dollar. I found it under some dirty cloth-... I earned it.
A shiny gold coloured, Kangarooverpopulated, Queen headed coin-coin.
I may have found it but I am claiming it as my first earning on this quest. I call it a quest because I’ve noticed an abundance of lack of quest around these days.
Quests went out of fashion with Horse riding and Knickerbockers. A tremendous shame. The decline in number of Quests in the world is inversely proportional to the increase in feelings of purposelessness. I think if you graphed that it would look like the letter ‘W’, W for “Why are you telling me this?”.
The point is it feels good for me to be doing something like this because I tend to browse a lot, a lot of TV, books, websites, but I don’t dedicate myself to a lot. And a quest seems not only to require dedication, it may in fact be a source of dedication. Bugger it, from now on I’m spelling quest with a capital ‘Q’, Quest. Its just basic human decency, showing a little respect to the Quest, let the Quest know its more important, more important than the rest.
The point is I have a dollar. And because the universe gave me this dollar I will, in return, give the universe an Idea (notice the capital on Idea (come on we talked about this (Its respect, Capital means respect (p.s. Note Capital on Capital action)))).
The idea I had this week has its origins at my conception. While most sperm were picking up plenty of neat skills from the Art stall, my guy (me) spent all his Spermals (Penis currency) on procrastination and food appreciation skills. I can’t draw.
In my ongoing Quest (Huuuge ‘Q’) to come up with a brilliant Idea for a comic, and an easy way to illustrate it, I came up with the Idea of Characters made of Characters.
e.g.
This bodgie paint job is just a quick capture of the idea. You’ll notice all the shapes are Alphanumeric characters. I suppose we could call him Al (for no other reason than that). That’s a start. Oh Al, Cuting-up the web with his semi-colon nose, parenthetical brows and square-rooting arms. I can see a sea of puns forming a dangerous rhythm of temple pounding, persona crushing sign waves (Oh yes, Pun quite intended).
I think he needs a Greek friend/mentor, constructed entirely from the Greek alphabet.
Perhaps it could be just the two of them. Al and Greeko (name to be advised). A comic like this could only be called one thing: E & μ (pronounced: E and Mew)
The inquisitive Al and his ancient friend the wise old toga wearing Greeko (eek!). And Greeko has slaves.
I suppose I believe this character constructed character idea to be good because there are a finite number of shapes to be used, I feel the limits make it easier to be decisive and be productive. I suppose it’s the same reason its good to have a Quest, once you narrow the things you want to do down to a manageable few you can finally stop searching and start producing.
Anyway.. Watch this space for some more E & μ, because if there is one thing this internet needs, its another badly drawn half-assed idea for a webcomic.

How about I start frequenting coin collecting forums and swap with as many kids (or regular aged people (we arent prejudice to cheating the aged either)) as possible and swap brittish one pound coins with them in exchange for Australian 50c pieces, or 20c pieces. Frequent a bunch of coin collecting forums and send it off to a few hundred people, in return you could make a few hundred dollars especially after the exchange rate.
Oh dear.
Oh dear.
Its Funny.
Its funny, what seems to me now to be such an odd half-arsed idea at trying to make some money whilst doing something that I honestly love and feel good at (well, I always feel like I’m only really good at things which you can’t quantify or measure performance, Hmmm I may be fooling myself). Its such an odd concept this, the idea of selling intellectual property (or selling the rights to it (I’d like to go further on with this later on)) for a reasonably low price. Because what are you selling? Someone gives you a topic or a problem and you say:
“If you give me money, I’ll run your problem or topic through my brain and sell you what comes out”
“There are infinite ways at looking at this problem, I would love to sell you my view, my solution, my perspective”
“How much do you want me to analyse this problem? The more money you give me the deeper I will dip into my brain your topics and problems and the more fractal your solution will be, each topic spawning sub topics and sub topics sub sub topics.”
It reminded of that scene in the first Ghost in the Shell movie, Motoko says something to the extent of: What we are is the way we process the information from our senses. And I thought that was awesome, that we are the result of information being sorted, personality is an advanced and complex form of information processing to serve a certain(or multiple) purpose(s). So to go back to what we were talking about, its still a pretty cool idea to sell someone a chance to put info through your brain and pump out some solution.
Upon further analysis I like the idea. But I also like the idea of analysing the idea. So perhaps what I can do here is demonstrate through analysis and description what kind of product you are buying from me. Read on and I'll keep posting in order to give you a better model of how my mind works, and maybe also for the joy of writing.

Introduction: What this is.
This project is a combination of two ideas.
The first idea is my opinion that the "ideas man" is always under rated. The 1% inspiration that the 99% perspiration is so dependent on, The Big before the Bang, The Though then Thing. There seems to be nowhere a person can buy some custom made ideas for a low low price, that is the service I wish to provide.
The second, the combination completing half , is that of Doublers. Doublers are a group of people i have encountered on the internet who start with one penny then double it 28 times to give them 1 million dollars. I myself have decided to follow a similar path, I am certainly going to use the same format, however I have decided to start with $1 and double it 31 times till I reach$1 Billion. This unnecessarily excessive quest is based on the concept that if you aim for the Moon you'll probably hit the fence, but there is a chance you'll hit the Moon, you probably wont, but you might, and that's good enough odds for me.
The plan is as follows: I will sell a one sentence idea for $1 dollar.
I will sell a one paragraph idea for $10 dollars.
I will sell a one page idea for $50 dollars.
You may be thinking "There aren't 10 sentences in a paragraph", well, there can be, but the price increases are based on increasing complexity;
o A One sentence idea is quite general, it may be useful to simply break writers block or get you thinking in a different direction.
o A One paragraph idea is much more conceptual and detailed, it may even contain a small diagram.
o A One page idea is a thought out, researched and developed idea which has more room for detail, integration into a system and may contain simple technical drawings and graphs.
The following are the 31 steps which need to be completed in order to achieve titanic feat (I use the term titanic in the sense of "Titan": Colossus, Massive and not in the "Titanic" sense: Huge, doomed to fail, many deaths)

However you want to split it up is fine. You will also have your name (or company name) and picture published on this site, with or without the ideas I produced for you depending on your preference.
I am also happy to just sell ideas, it is not important to strictly follow the above doubling pattern, Any number of Ideas can be purchased at your leisure at any time, you just wont get the free website advertising (unless you ask for it, which you should, because its free advertising). The doubling system is just a fun way of monitoring the progress.
And finally I suppose you are wondering who I am and what makes me qualified to dish-out ideas. I am an Engineering student at the end of my degree, I am a generalist (though aren’t we all as we leave university) but more importantly I feel I have a good view of the world, good creativity, common and uncommon sense and a passion for just thinking and developing ideas. I have a good scientific knowledge and understanding, interests in technology aswell as a keen interest in Comedy.
What you are buying is a different perspective, some mental stimulus, a look at the problem from a fresh pair of eyes, from a different background, from a different base of knowledge. Although there are no right or wrong answers, I will not sell an idea which I do not believe to be of Quality or Helpful to the recipient. There are no limits on the topics you wish to buy ideas on, if i dont know anything about it, I will research it aswell as give my own twist to it.
